The New Jersey Tutoring Corps, Inc. (NJTC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to a dual mission of providing high-impact tutoring services to academically
vulnerable K-8 students in both mathematics and English Language Arts and to increasing the educator pipeline.
Founded in 2021, and operating as a nonprofit since November of 2022, NJTC has since
served over 12,000 students across New Jersey and Pennsylvania with the support of more than 400 field staff. NJTC recently launched America's first tutor apprenticeship program, giving adults with
high school diplomas an education career pathway to address New Jersey's teacher shortage.

NJTC follows the Annenberg Institute's best practices for high-impact tutoring, featuring:
- Small group instruction
- Consistent tutor-student pairings
- Curriculum aligned with state standards
- Robust on-site oversight and coaching
- Comprehensive tutor professional development
- Regular tutoring sessions (2-4 times weekly)
- Tutoring sessions in durations of 30-60 minutes
The New Jersey Tutoring Corps has been officially badged by the National Student Support Accelerator at Stanford University as a high-quality tutoring organization
